Graduation

The Toowoomba office hosted their annual graduation ceremony on 26/02/10 for their 2009 class graduates. It was a lovely evening watching students celebrate their achievement s with their family and friends. For the KDIECS it is a proud moment knowing we are launching another group of intelligent and committed women (no men this year!) into the field of early childhood.

 Advanced Diploma Graduated 2010

Melanie, Alana & Jen enjoyed the evening

Kath Dickson Scholarship

This year the evening included the Kath Dickson Memorial Scholarship Award. The award is presented every two years and includes six regional half scholarship recipients, one of which becomes the State full scholarship award winner. Finalists are students chosen by their trainer who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to their studies, and their profession.  They are seen as being true advocates for children and making a positive difference to the children and families in their community; as did our very own Kath Dickson.

Each of the regional winners was a worthy recipient and a credit to their services, trainers, themselves and their communities.

Hayley Pearson of the Gold Coast was awarded the State winner and given the full scholarship. Only the hardest of hearts could not be moved by Hayley’s personal journey of sacrifice and utmost commitment to Early Childhood. Hayley’s incredibly supportive parents were present to share her achievement.

We wish all the winners every success in their future studies and hope they continue to be outstanding role models throughout their careers.
